The latest in water news again has to deal with high levels of a contaminant found in city water supplies across the nation. The “Erin Brockovich” toxin, otherwise known as chromium-6 is a carcinogenic chemical compound that finds its way into water systems due to improper industrial waste deposal, according to PBS

As a major health concern, most people are now wondering how they can remove the contaminant from their water supply. A properly designed and serviced reverse osmosis system should reduce chromium-6 quantities to below detectable levels. For example, Home Master Filter systems will reduce chromium-6 by 91.4 percent on average.
